About our meetings

SFHA meetings are a perfect place to meet and mingle with other San Francisco history lovers, as well as to explore our city's enchanting history in depth. Each month we present a talk usually accompanied by a slide show from an expert in a particular area of San Francisco history. Monthly presentations cover a diverse variety of local history stories, whether it's the story of a neighborhood, a look at scandalous city residents, or vintage photos of a now-lost San Francisco.

Presentations start at approximately 7:30 p.m. SFHA hosts a social hour starting at 7 p.m., during which you can peruse SFHA's bookstore, chat with members, and enjoy light refreshments. The social hour is also a great time to purchase raffle tickets to help fund our organization and for a chance to win that month's piece of San Francisco memorabilia.
